Former award-winning veteran detective and chief polygraph examiner of the Miami Beach Police Department, for the past thirty years Mr. Franklin, as head of his own private investigative agency and consultancy, is routinely retained by law enforcement agencies, various segments of government, and the private sector, including civil and criminal attorneys. Mr. Franklin has testified as an expert witness regarding the polygraph technique of lie detection as well as accepted investigative policies, practices and procedures. Specializing in the investigation, audit, review, and analysis of Internal Affairs cases, his experience includes the investigation of homicide, sexual battery, child sex abuse, robbery, burglary, fraud and forgery, securities fraud and white collar crime, and cold cases. Special Investigator appointments include various State Attorney’s Offices in Florida and Georgia as well as routine appointments by several other Federal, State, and Local law enforcement agencies. Mr. Franklin is often retained as a security consultant for various corporate clientele – foreign and domestic – to perform comprehensive background investigations, reputational, and credit inquiries.
